Strawberry Breadless Crumb Topping

We created this Strawberry Breadless Crumb Topping for National Vanilla Ice Cream Day. It complements vanilla's sophisticated flavor without overpowering it. Viva la Vanilla!


Plain Crumbs

Gluten-free Breadless Crumbs

  • 2 tsp. butter or vegan butter
  • 1 Tbsp. powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup Longève Plain Breadless Crumbs
  • 1/4 cup freeze-dried strawberries, crushed


  1. In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in powdered sugar and Breadless Crumbs and cook over medium heat for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in crushed strawberries. Allow to cool, and serve over ice cream (it's delicious on coffee cake, too!). (TIP: We like to crush our strawberries in a Ziploc bag using a rolling pin.)
