In our last post, we talked about celiac disease and the basics of gluten-free eating. But you don’t have to be celiac to want to avoid gluten. We know lots of people who simply feel better when they’re not eating it. We also know that cooking for your gluten-free loved ones isn’t always easy and the last thing you want is for anyone to feel left out at the table. Here are some of our favorite tips and recipes for gluten-free favorites that everyone will love.
Many crowd-pleasing recipes contain more gluten than meets the eye. Take spaghetti and meatballs, for example. Switching the noodles out for GF ones seems like the obvious fix, but many meatball recipes use breadcrumbs as a binder, and some sauces contain starch as a thickener. Here at Longève, we’re always looking for ways to make favorite dishes gluten-free with little-to-no tweaking. With a little creativity, any course can be gluten-free—even dessert. One of our favorite ways to use our Breadless Crumbs is in this sweet Strawberry Crumb topping.
